Private Lessons

Thank you for your interest in studying music with me! Even though this is probably the first page you came to, this entire website is a working portfolio for myself - Feel free to browse to learn more about me - especially check out the Autobio page!

My studio is open to all ages - and I do mean that! Anyone can learn about music at any age! Please click on any instrument below to read about what I offer for lessons on each instrument.

All lessons take place during the week in my own home studio in Wood Dale Illinois. Lessons range from 30-60 minutes and include instrument playing, music theory, ear training, listening to recordings, history, technology, discussion, and so much more! Students will also have the opportunity to perform for the public in at least one formal recital per year. (date and place TBA)

It seems like all the kids these days have electronics in their hands. Technology is an important part of their lives and education, and there will be much technology integrated into their lessons. Use of computer and mobile-based apps will be encouraged for at-home practice of musical concepts, and for supplementing lessons.

Piano students will have their lessons on a Yamaha Clavinova digital piano, or a 6' grand piano. Trumpet and guitar students are encouraged to have their own instrument for lessons and practicing, but I have extra instruments on hand for use in lessons if needed.

Everyone has different musical needs, wants, and abilities. I am willing to work with anyone with the desire to explore music and its deeper meanings, and the willingness to have fun!
